Heather began training with the unit in the summer of 2006. In March of 2007 Heather was joined by Tomoe, the other half of her team. From the start it was clear that both handler and dog needed a job and Search and Rescue was a good fit. Currently Heather is Base and Field Support certified. She is looking forward to supporting the other unit teams on searches. As a team Heather and Tomoe are working on their Advanced Wilderness Airscent Certification and enjoying every step of the process.
