Heather began training with the unit in the summer of 2006. In March of 2007 Heather was joined by Tomoe, the other half of her team. From the start it was clear that both handler and dog needed a job and Search and Rescue was a good fit. In 2009 Heather and Tomoe were certified for Airscent and have began training for Live Scent Disaster work, enjoying every step of the process.
