Julie has been with the unit since the spring of 2006. Julie's new canine partner is Sachi, a female German Shepherd. Julie and Sachi look forward to working towards their team Wilderness/Urban Trailing certificate. Julie looks forward to continuing to train with the unit (as there is much to learn with or without a dog!) and to taking seminars through the North American Search Dog Network(NASDN) and Canine Search and Recovery (CSR).

Julie lives in Minneapolis with her teenage sons and , in addition to Sachie, their Border collie Harley and their parakeet Lyle. For her day job, Julie is a lawyer with a Minneapolis law firm. She enjoys camping with her family and friends and in her spare (?!) time, she is taking classes in companion animal behavior and studying yoga.
