Paula joined the unit in 1999.  She brings with her a previous background in Public Safety as a Dispatch Supervisor for a Metro 911 Center, and Fire and Life Safety Educator for a metro department.  Her employment history includes Incident Command, communication training and liaison work.  She has volunteered in Public Safety Peer Counseling and Sexual Assault Advocacy.  She has held the offices of Secretary and Treasurer for the unit for several years.  She is a 40 hour First Responder and SAR TECH II.

Paula and her K9 partner Bella, are a certified Air Scent and Land Cadaver Team. Bella is a German Shepherd Dog with tons of drive and determination. Please check back for news and information on this lucky SAR dog!

Paula enjoys all aspects of SAR work and you will often see her running support for other dog/handler teams, participating in public demos and contributing to the unit in any way that she can.
