AHATS - 1245 Hwy 96 W, St Paul, MN 55112 (Google address fro directions or see below) AHATS is located at Hwy 96 and Hamline Ave in Arden Hills, MN.

From the North: 35 W South, Exit Hwy 96, Take a left onto Hwy 96, Take a left on Hamline Ave, Take this road until you reach a locked gate.

From the south: 35 W north (note it is north of 694), exit Hwy 96, Take a right onto Hwy 96, Take a left on Hamline Ave, take this road until you reach a locked gate.

Bunker Hills Park Activity Center (45 minutes)
From northeast side of Bunker Hills Regional Park (may avoid having to pay entrance fee for park to get to Activity Center):

Hwy. 65 north to Anoka Cty. Rd. 116 (Bunker Lake Boulevard). Go west on Bunker Lake Boulevard until you see entrance to Activity Center. (You may have to go through park entrance and pay the fee.) If you cross railroad track you have gone too far.

From south side of Bunker Hills Regional Park (may have to pay park entrance fee, especially during picnic and cross-country skiing seasons):

Hwy. 65 north to Hwy. 242 (aka Anoka Cty. Rd. 14, aka Main Street.) West on 242 to park entrance. (If you cross railroad track you've gone too far.) Follow signs to Activity Center.

From Hwy. 10 (may avoid having to pay entrance fee for park to get to Activity Center):

Take Hanson Boulevard north to Anoka Cty. Rd. 116 (Bunker Lake Boulevard). Go east on Bunker Lake Boulevard, past the railroad track, until you see entrance to Activity Center. (You may have to go back to park entrance and pay the fee.)

Girl Scout Camp (1 hour)
Hwy. 10 north to Elk River. Take Hwy. 169 north. Approximately 5 miles out of Elk River turn right (east) onto Sherburne Co. Rd. 19 (245 Av). Go about 1 mile. Turn right onto a gravel road at the sign that shows Co. Rd.19 hangs a left. (If you pass a cemetery you went too far.) Follow the gravel road to the green gate. If you are the first one there it will be closed and locked. The camp entrance is weedy and rutted; take it slow if your car has low clearance. Follow the camp road around to the metal Quonset building where we park and meet.

Rice Creek Park (East) (30 - 50 minutes)
Go north on I-35E past the city of White Bear Lake to the exit for Anoka Cty. Rd. 14 (Centerville). Go west into downtown Centerville (back over the freeway). Stay on Cty. Rd. 14; it jogs hard right. Continue past Waterworks sports bar, over the bridge, and then start looking for sign for Wargo Nature Center. Turn right (east) at the sign into a gated gravel road. Drive through the gate (we will unlock it about ten or fifteen minutes before training session starts.) Close the gate behind you but do not lock. We meet at the first T-intersection on the park road.

Rice Creek Park (West) (30 - 50 minutes)
Go north on I-35E past the city of White Bear Lake to the exit for Anoka Cty. Rd. 14 (Centerville). Go west into downtown Centerville (back over the freeway). Stay on Cty. Rd. 14; it jogs hard right. Continue past "Waterworks" sports bar and start looking immediately for a sign for the park. The entrance will be on the left, with a guard shack. Drive into the park and meet at the parking lot for the boat landing.

Rum River Park (Central)
Hwy. 10 north to Anoka. Take 7th Avenue exit. Turn right (north) onto 7th Avenue and continue about five miles. Cross the Rum River and then watch for the park entrance on the right. The entrance is at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Anoka Cty. Rd. 27.

Sand Dunes State Forest (North) (1-1.5 hours)
Hwy. 169 north to Zimmerman (next town north of Elk River). Take a left (west) at the stop light in Zimmerman, this is Cty. Rd. 4. Go approximately 5 miles west. Sand Dunes State Forest parking lot is the next left (south) after Cty. Rd. 15. We meet in the parking lot. Cty. Rd. 4 is a fairly straight road; if you come to a curve you have gone too far.

Sand Dunes State Forest (South) (1-1.5 hours)
Hwy. 169 north to Zimmerman (next town north of Elk River). Take a left (west) at the stop light in Zimmerman, this is Cty. Rd. 4. Go approximately 4.5 miles west and turn left (south) on Cty. Rd. 15. Go about 3 miles and turn left (east) on 233rd Street. Follow this curvy road about 1 mile and the parking lot will be on the left side of the road. In the winter it is usually not plowed.

Sherburne County Fairgrounds (1 -1.25 hours)
Hwy. 10 north to Elk River. Stay on Hwy. 10 through downtown Elk River. Go over a large bridge; on the other side go left on Joplin Street. There will be a Cenex gas station on your left and a Holiday station on your right. Go 1.5 blocks and turn left through the large gate into the fairgrounds. We park near the gate.
